the singers voice grows weary
he’s sang out his last song
he’s been singing it to no one
for oh so long
the painters hands they tremble
his eye’s are edged with tears
he’s painted a portrait of hope
but nobody really cares
we all play the cards
that we were dealt with in our hands
and we all play our lives
the best that we can
right to the bitter end
the circus clown is frowning
because no one came to laugh
the strong man looks up sadly
his heart has broken in half
the poet’s dreams are shattered
he’s lost all reason and rhyme
he just can’t understand
the changes coming with time
we all play the cards
that we were dealt with in our hands
and we all play our lives
the best that we can
right to the bitter end
the holy man is kneeling
he’s kneeling down to prey
I guess he doesn’t know it yet
today’s his judgement day
the loner he see’s the change
but he doesn’t give a damn
for him it’s always been this way
no one to lend a hand
we all play the cards
that we were dealt with in our hands
and we all play our lives
the best that we can
right to the bitter end
We All Play The Cards
We All Play The Cards

3 apostrophe mistakes, and one religious blunder.
apart from that I see some potential here.

Thanks. I apologise for punctuation errors, likely due to lack of sleep and speed of typing.fishfishquaileye wrote:3 apostrophe mistakes, and one religious blunder.

As for the "religious blunder", I guess it is all perspective.
