Hi Stranger ~

I rarely comment in this thread [though I always read it ~ like all the others  ], but I have to say that I was so pleased to see John Mayall's name show up. I loved him before I saw him, and even more, afterward.

Hi Lizzy, glad you like him. Do you like the blues in general? Not such a big departure from Leonard (this needs a bit of a stretch of imagination). Some other artists in my list are rather remote from him, though. But I forgot to list JJ Cale, whom I like a lot too, and who is closer to LC's music than some other in my list.

Leonard and the blues

Let's not forget "Billy Sunday" (or Blues of the Jews, as I believe it was called).

Hi Stranger ~

Yes, I do like the Blues. John Lee Hooker wasn't on your list, and I really like him, too.
