Re: for you
It is beautiful... and adds to the charm of Myra & Jack's thread.
Jack speaks French, and Lion probably does too, but for those of us who don't, here's an English translation to go with the video:
Flower Duet English Text Translation
Under the thick dome where the white jasmine
With the roses entwined together
On the river bank covered with flowers laughing in the morning
Let us descend together!
Gently floating on its charming risings,
On the river’s current
On the shining waves,
One hand reaches,
Reaches for the bank,
Where the spring sleeps,
And the bird, the bird sings.
Under the thick dome where the white jasmine
Ah! calling us
Together!
Under the thick dome where white jasmine
With the roses entwined together
On the river bank covered with flowers laughing in the morning
Let us descend together!
Gently floating on its charming risings,
On the river’s current
On the shining waves,
One hand reaches,
Reaches for the bank,
Where the spring sleeps,
And the bird, the bird sings.
Under the thick dome where the white jasmine
Ah! calling us
Together!

I was honoured that Jack wrote this thread for me (which he did).

Re: for you
morning dream
The woman in blue, sits at the edge
of the water staring up at a waxing moon
listening to waves fade in and out.
Close by, the man walks in ankle deep water,
his pants rolled, a fishing poll in hand.
He casts out his line which falls into
the moons reflection and feels it tighten.
Hand over hand he pulls the string,
bringing to the shore a gold crescent boat.
She lifts her skirt and enters the water
taking his hand so that he may help her in.
Holding the line again he pulls boat
and woman into the lake until water
is at his waist. He smiles up at her,
she bends down to kiss him softly
before he releases the line and lets
a wave and the breeze carry her
back to the moon.
(It's a bit prosy )

Something to bring you back from your dream. They call it Appalachian Spring but it is really "Ballet for Martha" (Martha Graham)Myra wrote:morning dream

during sleep
am an only child
I forgot
to wait and
it went so wild
now I follow
what the waking
all have to share
all of your sisters
will be on board
with winds so fair
hear that music
from the shaker's church
Shall we dance?
Shall we shake?
Lets make the moves
that the shakers make?
