If anyone would like to check out the menu at the Foxtown Grille check out http://www.daedoardo.com/foxtownmenu. They open at 1130am so I will call them later to see if I can reserve maybe another table for 4, perhaps using your name Lizzy if that's okay? Then we should have enough room. Will advise later when I've made the reservations if all is okay.

Thanks, Diana. Yes, of course, you can use my name for the table of 4 [or whatever]. Thanks, too, for posting the menu link. I didn't have time last night to check into it... have to get some sleep sometime before I go. I'll check the prices ;-) .

This morning when I awoke, my cat, Pooh, wanted to cuddle. She has been through so much for so long that I couldn't deny her, so I turned over and fell back asleep with her in my arms, and me in her paws, and woke suddenly in the midst of a dream, where two men from the airport [whom I'd talked with earlier in my dream, when I was at the airport and parking my car] came to a classroom where I was, telling me I had to be at the airport in 1/2 an hour, as it was 7:30 and I had to be there at 8:00 [exactly the time I DO need to be there] and I was majorly stressed as that was simply impossible, given my whereabouts, the time, and the location of the airport, and I awoke saying in my dream, "I'm going to miss my flight! I'm going to miss my flight!" and, instead, I was only late for work ;-) ... but with my rushing, by only 15 minutes. It was 5:45 in real time this morning, but when I have to leave by 6:30, that's pushing it. 15 minutes for a flight, though... and I will have missed it!

Yeah  ... the irony is that he really is funny. Such an opportunity missed... at least for the time being  . It was funny, too, because the young woman said, "Really... you're helping me with this information!" I'd like to think that she will have Googled Leonard and found out some things on her own. I wish I'd gotten her name, but at least she was there in the evening, so maybe she'll be there Saturday ;-) ... and maybe she'll know who Leonard is, who will be performing at a major venue, a mere two blocks away on Saturday night. She had presumed, as well, that I was referring to the 16th, as though no one was performing there on the 9th! [Now this is how I would expect Michigan to be, so far as Leonard is concerned... I'll be delightfully surprized to find out otherwise].

See you sooon... very soon 8) .

P.S. Ha. Well, there you have it. My co-worker came to me about 15 minutes ago and told me my right, rear tire is flat... completely flat. This is one of my new tires... and I think I bypassed that extra, 'free' replacement option  ... so, while I'm at it... going to replace my left front, as well [the only one that is nearly bald ~ the other 3 almost new]... lest dreams come true  .

Lizzy....oh no, a flat tire! Just what you needed. :( Keep thinking about Saturday in Detroit! It won't fix the flat but might make you feel a little better :D .

Anyhow, just to let everyone know, I've called the Foxtown Grille and reserved another table for 4 (it was their LAST table) for 515pm so we should have plenty of room for Stephen, Jamie, and a couple of others if they wish to come. Not sure if anyone else reserved separately but looking forward to meeting everyone, if not at the restaurant, then in the Fox lobby! :D :D

See you all soon!

Thank you, Diana. Excellent timing 8) and "Whew!" Hopefully, some others will join us.

They're still not here to tow my car... 3 minutes short right now of the promised 1 hour. Guess I'll go check out the menu.

Okay. Did that. As long as the pizza isn't the "individual" size, we should do fine. I was wondering if dinner starts at 5:00 [like most places], but it seems the lunch and dinner prices aren't so very different.

Jamie at 5pm, they mean The Fox Grille for dinner. The Town Pump Bar is expected to be after the show itself around 11pm or so.

A couple of notes from here in Detroit.

OR4 at The Fox sure seems to be a tough sell as there are still seats yet in that section when I checked under "best" at TM.com

Depending on what forecast you want to believe today, The Weather Channel says Sat. will be 70 and rain most of the day, while local Fox 2 News says rain in the AM
then sunny and 68.. Both say a cold front will be coming in at some point dropping the temp to down to 60 for Mother's Day, but sunny.

I'm sure by tomorrow things could change again.

Oh, heavens... yes, Jamie. Sorry for all the confusion.

The Fox Grille for dinner ~ meet us there at 5:00-5:15... at the restaurant, itself. We can't go to the Fox performance venue, for getting in early to buy merchandise and such, until 6:30; so that leaves us over an hour for dinner, and we're right next door. We have reservations that will include you. It's a food-based place, so your age is not an issue.

The Town Pump is after the show and your age is an issue there. That's where I called. Your passport will work fine for ID and is required. You must be with an adult when you go in, though. For pre-planning on dinner before the show, though [Stephen is coming along, too, and we've made additional reservations for a number that will include you both], Diana provided a link to the menu, as it's rather expensive.

[Whew... what a day.]

I seem to have butchered the second paragraph here, so will try to resurrect it.

Hi Everyone!

Quick update. Two people are NOT coming to dinner at the Foxtown Grille. SO...we now have reservations for 9 but only 3 people for certain. Hopefully Jamie and Stephen will be able to join us. Cara...do you guys want to come or do you have other plans? Ken(adian)...ditto for you and your buddy? I know Walsh and perhaps some others might prefer Hockeytown. Not a problem. Otherwise hope to see you in the lobby! So, up to 6 more people are more than welcome to join us! The restaurant is on the corner and part of the same building as the Fox Theatre. Reservations are for 5:15 pm so we can take our time and chat and still be in the lobby when the doors open at 630pm.

Of course, post concert too! 2 more days!! :D Not that I'm excited or anything! :D

I'm also going to try to remember to bring some moonpies and googoo clusters for my fourm friends, if they don't melt in the car so I guess I'll be the girl passing out candy if anyone wants it) can't wait to meetup...

Hi Cara....Loved your post! You sound like me when I'm going someplace and still have a thousand things to do but so excited that it seems a blur! Drive safe. We hope to see you guys at the Foxtown Grille (the "e" adds on $5!) or in the lobby! Will look for the black dress and red shawl. Good luck with the googoo clusters and moonpies  ...if they start to melt just go ahead and eat them! Windsor is a perfect place to stay...great view of the Detroit skyline. See you soon.

Hi Cara ~

I loved your post, too :D ! I'm in that exact mode right now, except no exams. The tests of life are quite enough ;-) . Not sure why I'm checking the Forum, except for the addiction issue. So much still to do, gotta make this quick! You sound like you look the DetroitCityGypsy, as well. I hadn't considered a shawl. Not sure what I'll do. Your dress sounds great. Looking forward to meeting you.

LOVE your CliffNotes idea... haha  . You may not see this comment 'til after it's all over, though. We'll see.

"Tonight... tonight... " is what we can all sing tomorrow morning. I'm so looking forward to tomorrow night and seeing Leonard again, and everything and everyone else that this comment includes in every possible way.

Yeah the forcast changed again for tomorrow.

Now Fox 2 is saying a mainly cloudy and windy day, with scattered showers (more steady in the AM), high 67.
