The golden fleeced lamb lay sacrificed on the cross
an artificial sentiment for the pain of the loss
a dissection of truth and the clouding of sin
untying our conscience and strengthening our faith within
the knowledge that to kill for him a fatted calf
will wash away our misgivings on his behalf
to even attempt to sacrifice our own
thinking it to be the ultimate atonement
shows that man has lost the primeval knowledge alone
that did not sully his lips like the sweet apple
that awakened hormones and the desire to sample
No more the need for sacrifices on the altar!
Man is the ultimate, his faith never faulters
No more the beating of the Ram!
impaled on the wood, it's blood like thick jam
Man is the ultimate decider
His death alone will open the cypher!
