I love Graham Coxon and I think his guitar-playing is something absolutely wonderful - sensitive and true.
And yes, his new album is punky AND very entertaining (but not as good as, say 'The Sky Is Too High' or 'Crow Sit on Blood Tree')

one more addition...
Roberto Benigni is one of the three leads (along with Tom Waits and John Lurie) in probably my favorite movie of all-time -- 'Down by Law'. It's a truly beautiful and funny film by Jim Jarmusch. I recommend!

My favorite book of LC poetry. It's naked and it's bitter. There IS some throwaway stuff too but mostly the poems burn..
(like this)

Love is a fire
It burns everyone
It disfigures everyone
It is the world's excuse
for being ugly

yes, I feel he's 'writing the letter'/singing to himself (former self). (biographical) evidence >> * the '59 raincoat * waiting on a train station (which is a recurring theme in his work btw) * 'building a house deep in the desert' = the cabin in Nashville * 'a thin gypsy thief' LC has often called ...
