Hi Bacarolle,

Examing Forensic Evidence on Judgement Day

My God is full of self-doubt; He is an agnostic God My God created himself In His own image My God has many Propaganda Ministers Working around the clock My God’s autobiography Was ghosted by a coterie of Jews My God created everything Including his own arch-enemy Because every Father needs a Kadaic...

Thanks for the comments Byron, Lizzy and Vesuvius, Writing for me is a search for a solution which would make redundant, the need to write at all. It is also a line walked between irony and synchronicity. And sometimes in the walking, there is a pratfall. from the forward to my self-published collec...

THE DRIFT

Solemn as a raven In the midst of such decay I trawl your heart For food for thought; There is no simple way When the trumpets are all playing But the beat is far away And now it’s raining acid On your lawn And on your song Etching out your life Marked by every storm But that is what it’s like When ...

Never claimed it was an original idea... though off the top of my head, I can only think of one other who used a similar theme in a poem - John Cooper Clark with "(I Married a) Monster From Outer Space". As for being bitter... well, if that is how it reads to you, so be it. It was meant to...

Kind of. I too, am a big fan of all those old B horror/creature movies... But it's based on a real relationship I had... living with a redhead in an old fishing shack. She had a very mean temper... I just kind of borrowed the creature thing as a kind of metaphor. I think I had in mind that it should...

Ditto, Vesuvius.

I've eavesdropped in on some great conversations in that place :)

B Grade Blues

Some things are too remote Some things are too far above If your love be a pinnacle Then I have slid from its plinth And if your love be a miracle It’s been bent through a prism And missed me by an inch You are a monster You don’t have horns or fins or scales Your claws don’t tear my flesh You’re j...

Hi Georges,

I used to perform this piece as poetry with a couple of guys playing jazz guitar in the background. Nothing like music to add an extra dimension.

Appreciate your feedback. There is some great work going on here!

The Glory

The glory I betrayed is dormant now Frozen in the muscle & sinew & bone Of some John Doe no family will ever be able To claim back from his pauper’s grave The glory I betrayed is like the graffiti On the wall being scrubbed away by new-age Chemical agents & there will be no trace left Th...
