Chifano and Giamarizzi (????)

A question from Jacob Potashnik, whom we remember from the Montreal 2000 Event:

I do have a question for you - way back in the 1970s the local FM radio station used to play a version of "Suzanne" that I have been unable to find. I believe it was done by a Canadian duo, the song was sung by a man with a high tenor voice. I have a very vague memory of the name of the duo and I will spell it out but I cannot trust my memory. It was something like "Chifano and Giamarizzi."

I have Googled the name, search Itunes for Suzanne covers but didn't find anything. Does any of this ring a bell? If not could you introduce it into one of your discussion strings and see what happens?
