on a birthday

i didn't say yes to their carnal explosion
way past midnight in a hidden park
they never asked me before procreation
i wasn't born just cast into this world
i never approved of their unholy marriage
they went to all the churches on their own
i didn't ask for them to raise me
but they pushed me through the dirty times

then someday i took over control
suddenly i plunged into this world
somehow i learned to stand on a few words
and to swim through the tears of forty-four years
i started to dance along the abyss of perfection
and fell into the traps of gentle grace
i crawled through destructive nights with the angels
while playing with the mines of a line

and when now my verbs explode
into the tear gas of my adjectives
and release my dying nouns
i finally approve of their love
give a smile to the darkness of the park
i throw rice on their solitary paths
and don't deny the blended blood
that smears the four and forty years
