Are there any UK based Leonard Cohen fans about

Post by liverpoolken »

If you live in the UK and you want copies of two extremely rare 1985 shows then make your way over to the Collectors and Traders Corner section.

We have set up a vine for the rare 1985 Essen and Hannover shows.

All you need is the ability to burn discs and a stamp to send the discs on to the next person.

Hi Ken,
I can't find the way to the vine you mentioned, but recently I've downloaded the concerts in Hanover (13thMarch 1985)and Essen(14th.March) also Hamburg (4th Feb.1985)from dimeadozen, and if anyone wants copies I'll join the vine and make them available.
Thoughts and best wishes Dave

Dave

Thanks for the offer.

We have managed to kick start a vine consisting of the Hannover '85 and the Essen '85.

We are organising it through pm messages at the moment.

If it's a success maybe we can organise another one in the near future, perhaps even extend it to the dark and uncivilised lands that are rumoured to lay beyond the UK borders.

BTW many many years ago I use to drink in the Roscoe Head in central Liverpool with someone with the same name as yourself. He was the son of the owner of Liverpool's biggest taxi firm. Surely you are not he.

I've got another couple of rarities heading my way that maybe I shall put up for vining - namely:-

Previously unreleased. Complete concert except for indicated cuts.
After "So Long, Marianne," Grand Rex people play some music over PA and then Cohen comes back again! Unbelievable!

Hi Ken,
Will try and pm you soon, but if you don't hear from me (Paris is calling), I'll see you (and Bird on the Wire and maybe others) in the Travelodge in October.
I'm staying Friday,Saturday and Sunday.
Maybe Jim White,or Broken Social Scene,Friday, Cohenites, Liverpool v everton, Leonard,Saturday, tempted to see Tiger Lillies,Sunday, but we'll see.
Can't wait!
I know the Roscoe well but now spend more time in the Dispensary, Lion and Fly in the Loaf.
It wasn't me but as someone recently said
'I wish I had been the guy you thought I was it sounded great fun'.
You possibly know me from Liverpool and Southport pub/restaurants.
I ran The Mona and Cains in the late 70's. Alexis Korner at The Mona was a special night!
Just on dimeadozen
