Disparen a Cohen!!!

From Guadalupe:
I found a Spanish tribute CD with 19 songs; its name is "Disparen a Cohen" (Shoot Cohen). I think it was a giveaway of a magazine titled "Confesiones de Margot".
They still have Leonard on the front page at
http://www.confesionesdemargot.com/
but it might be an old page???
Leonard and the album are in issue # 13.

Maybe our Spanish members will investigate this a bit???

The site wasn't updated from June 2005. So the news about the release of tribute CD in May refers to May 2005.

According to this news, Confesiones de Margot is fanzine (alternative culture) published in Zaragoza. News is from April 2005 and announces this CD, in limited edition. This blog, also from May 2005, has the artists:
El título del disco es "Disparen a Cohen: Spanish Tribute" y la lista de los participantes es la siguiente: De la Rosa , Picore, Copi, Bronski, Jafi Marvel+Morti, Alberto Sullivans+Luxury 54, Ursula, Bunbury, Los Cármenes, Onirea, Simple Komite, Santi Rex, Volador, MAR, Nixon, Javier Ojeda o Carlos Ann. +Juan Carlos Espadas-Aragón.
The contact mail for getting the CD is the same as on the site: leocamaleon@hotmail.com

I have been told that this email address does not give any feedback to people who are asking for the CD.
However, we will be getting a CDR copy of the original album from our friends in Spain!

Hi everybody.

I have a little bit of information about this CD. A few musicians from Spain, whom loves the music of Cohen, recorded this CD at 2005 with the label Producciones Margot. All the musicians are not very famous in Spain; maybe Santi Rex (from "Niños del Brasil").

It's very difficult to find it because it's a limited edition (if I remenber correctly 500 copies). I have one because in 2005 I was member of "Onírea", the band performer of the eleventh track: "Take this walt". Honestly, I think that CD is correct but it smells a lot of amateurism. Why? Because Margot Producciones don't paid an studio, and demanded to the musicians that working without any retribution. The cost of the production was 0 € and I think that Margot Producciones sell a minimum to pay the edition.

If you want or need some more information, write me
