During the falling of leaves

Post by Byron »

During the falling of leaves
‘tween dusky Angelus
and the bursting Sun
I think of you

Last prayers to rising
Heavy lids through dreams
Slippers to alarms
I think of you

Sinking to waking
Vixen’s cry to cockerel
Off to switch on
I think of you

‘neath covers to suits
cotton to linen
cocoa to coffee
I think of you

I think of you
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.

From out a clownish personae, a deeply caring man... they say that's how oft it is.

I enjoyed the reverie in this, John. I'm so glad you opened that for-some-time closed door.

Love,
Lizzy

And after you hear "Covers to sweets" I am sure you unconsciously long for chocolate and you lookup the fridge. I once saw that in a Columbo movie where the film cutter added a snipped of a scene, a coke drinking person so that the person who watched the movie got thirsty and went out to grab some drink and got killed.

Byron,

I ain't much of a critic, but, this reminded me of someone; someone I think of so often. From the night to the morn', I think of her. From the morning to night, I think of her. From 'cocoa to coffee', from 'cotton to linen', I think of her.

Thank you. Sometimes, we stand in the same shoes.

Dear Byron,

Thank you so much for this poem. It's a work of great beauty. When I turn off the light tonight, I'll think of you.

In peace and fellowship,

Bernard
In light unbroken
