Dear Byron [and Margaret] ~
Yes, you can see that our interest goes all directions. You sound understandably both very distraught and dismayed by all that you've just gone and come through. It sounds like you need some time to process and debrief from all you encountered in Laos. As you suggested, it's hard to see what is at the root of the destruction of peace and people as "civilization." I look forward to both your and Margaret's returning here, after you've regained some hope and inner peace, while recovering from the soul-shattering experiences you described on the "hell bent on war" thread in the member's poetry section. Of course, I'll be glad to see you here no matter how you're feeling.
