Suzanne cover - by Polish young jazzwoman - see video clip

Post by Mirek »

Hello fellow Cohenites

I found a nice video clip of Suzanne cover sung by one of the brightest young Polish jazz singers - Aga Zaryan (real name: Agnieszka Skrzypek)
This clip was recorded during JVC Jazz Festival in Warsaw (October 2006).

Ha. I caught Barracuda sleeping on the job :P and actually made it through on this 8) . Enjoyed it very much, Mirek. It sounds 'fresh' :D . It also helps visually that as Aga sings about the sun pouring down like honey on our lady of the harbour, that the colour of her hair, skin, and dress are honey-like. [Parts of her delivery and voice are reminiscent of Roberta Flack... forgive me for comparing  ]. I like very much what she does with the last part of the song... when she gives it much more of a whispery 'jazz' treatment. Thanks for bringing this here, Mirek... and maybe slipping Barracuda a sleeping pill on your way  .
