Hi, I'm a new member to the forum, although I've been a fan of Cohen for a while now. I've just finished amassing his 'official' discography (all the studio and live albums), but looking at all the information about bootlegs, it seems this is only the tip of the iceberg!
I managed to get hold of the 1972 Tel Aviv bootleg on eBay... admittedly I didn't know how to start a bootleg collection, and I almost regret having paid for it... I say "almost" because it's such a great recording!
I'm interested in getting more stuff, but this is all I have to offer in terms of trading. I'm particularly interested in collections such as the 1966 NY bootleg, and Master Poems. Also, anything that has songs the great man never recorded in the studio would be fantastic!
I suppose this is more of a plea than anything. I can trade what little I have, or do the "Blank and Postage" thing if anyone wouldn't mind helping out a humble newcomer.
Thanks,
Rob

a bootleg that is available for free among the collectors. Damn sellers!

But Lizzy, you're right that it's worth getting it despite the profiteering of some people (which I don't condone, even if I did aid it, in a sense).
You may be able to download some concerts from the ftp site set up for Cohen fans here by mrstocks
Look at a thread about ftp setup in this collectors section
Contact mrstocks if you need help to understand this. Once you have downloaded the material it can be transferred on to blank cdr's.
see ftp://homedev.org/../pub/incoming/concerts/
Good luck!
