This poem is inspired by a poem by Amir Gilboa called 'Yitzhak'.
Story of a brat
Daddy daddy
rescue me
Im feeling very sad
I´d like to know just who I am
This struggle drives me mad
Daddy daddy
come to me
untie me from this wood
I need your help
to free my life
to live the life I could
Your farther's dying in the bed
the garments soaked with blood
he went to kill a ram for food
but he himself got shot
Daddy daddy
help me now
she wants to set me free
but shadows in the tricket sing
I am the man to be
Daddy daddy
where are you
I cannot feel your breath
don't pull my leg
and tell me that
some good derives from death
Your farther's gone
he tried to say
some things you could not hear
don't be afraid, his faith was strong
redemption still is near.

The poems that graphically call back the pains from childhood ~ in the simplicity of its own vocabulary ~ always touch that part of me deeper somehow.....the terms seem inextricably linked with the emotions experienced during that time. I like the poem and the imposed view of death from a child's perspective. Very interesting interplay between the multiple adults and the singular child.
