This is very thoughtful, thought-provoking, circumspect, and real, John. Very good conclusion. I'm not surprized to see that you wrote this.

I hope your neighbour does well, or at least okay, at the hospital.

Love,

I understood this as also referring to our neighbours a few thousand miles away.

Interesting thought, Margaret... one I hadn't considered [though should have, of course].

I love to speak with John
He's a pundit and a fraud
He's a lazy banker living in a suit

Awesome. Very imaginative. I didnt quite get it earlier on. And no judgment passed one way or other, just an observation.

p.s. here is my version of the first verse....not that I would have you change a word of it...

I could be sarcastic
Or serious
Or play the fool
perhaps a bit of each
in order to confuse.

The ambulance arrives as in oftentimes before.
No siren, bell or clamour,
but the still sad music of humanity.

With my thanks to John K, and also a nod to Wordsworth. (Tintern Abbey)
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.
