MUSICIANS ON RECENT SONGS

Dear forum members -

I loved the sound on RECENT SONGS, an album with which I have only recently become familiar. Does anybody have a list of cd's available by or featuring Raffi Hakopian and/or John Bilezikjian?

I was delighted by the playing on the album - among all the Cohen works, it seems the one where individual musicians do most to enhance the songs.

Blue Alert is wonderful, but I'm less convinced by The Book of Longing - more mental scrapbook than volume of coherent poetry, but an insight nevertheless.

You should also try live version of Recent Songs, Field Commander Cohen: Tour Of 1979, with Hakopian and Bilekjian even in the better shape than on the studio album!
