I stopped for a drink the other day and watched the behavior of some of the "boys" on their night out toward a very overweight woman. I just wrote a few lines to acknowledge her. We spoke for a while and she was intelligent, well read, funny and really nice. Idiots. (No need to comment. It's just my homage to her.)
Somewhere out there she is walking
toward you hauling that deep space
between the squeeze of the size 6 pumps
onto the size 8 feet or the bumps
of the midthigh high skirt and the girdle.
"Have another beer boys.
and let's get out of here".
Ignor her. Who cares.
She's just a big bang.

Hi Dar ~
How can you be sensitive to the real world of another woman; take the initiative to talk with her, as a result of your giving her, her due credibility, despite any weight issues
; and then take the time to write something 'for' her; and share your experience with us ~ and then not expect someone ~ particularly another woman ~ to not say anything? Doesn't even have to be something warm and fuzzy, but it's a wonderful thing when we see that women have compassion for one another, and can see each other for who we truly are. Overweight women are so often summarily dismissed ~ too often, even by other women
. I'll let it go at that, but I'm touched by your posting. Thanks.
