Chris Rea rip-off?

Post by Teratogen »

anyone ever heard rea's song, "road to hell"??? doesn't it sound a little too much like "the future"??? i don't know which was made first, but i find this interesting. especially since he's got a deep voice like leonard's as well.

Hi T, He wrote that song when he was stuck in traffic on the M25 which circles London (you can be stuck in traffic there for hours) It is a brilliant driving song!

Hi T.

I just checked my original vinyl L.P. Road to Hell and can tell you it was released in 1989.

And that means it was made before Cohen's The Future and therefor can not be a copy of the latter.

ok. so, leonard may have ripped him off! i read through that thread but nobody really compares those two songs. even the music sounds similar! and the way they sing their respective songs sounds similar. someone listen to those songs back-to-back like i've done and tell me i'm not dreaming.
