It depends on what one expects from the lunch.
Your friends probably want some superstar or just someone pretty/handsome to flirt.
If wishes of you all came true, they would have nice experience for last month and you would have memories for rest of your life. :D
Many people around me prefer dance music and I was in similar situation many times. (by the way some LC´s songs are great for dance)
Majority qualified me as a stranger. But I don´t mind. I even found out that I like being against the mainstream.

what a nice realization, anne-marie!
for some time now i thought lc would be mainstream meanwhile, seeing that so many people know him and love his works. but hearing your experiences changes this opinion, and i'm happy about it.
i was on my best way to become one of those mainstream-opinions, mainstream-thoughts, mainstream-dreams-person; in my early schoolyears i was among the loudest and most social children in class.
but then my parents got divorced, and i got calm, shy, unsure. that was when i discovered lc's work. it helped me such a lot, i realised the diversity of life and the good things that can be found in calmness and thoughtfulness. over the years, i gained more self-confidence, i have learned again to talk to people and to get active. but i never felt any need to catch up with the "mainstream", i rather stay in this world where i am now. and i also understand now the problems of those people who get caught in their lack of selfsureness - usually they are just made fun of by the others, but it would be so much better to help them.
