Anyone Know? Goldin/Hermitage Prisoner

Has anyone kept up with:

I don't know up to what age [or according to their current lifestyles or careers] the men there are being conscripted into the military.to fight Ukraine. He may be exempt, but I've been wondering if he may have become involuntarily involved. I don't think it's something he would volunteer to do.

Thanks for anything you may know. I checked for when the last date was that hes visited here., but it has only a dash (-), so he must have that turned off.

The issue that you mention concerns men aged 18-27, and I would guess that Roman is older than that.

Thank you so much for your response, Lisa. Yes, I'd agree that he would surely be older than that by now. When I met him on Hydra, he looked 'young,' but that was at least 6 years ago... I can't remember which year it was. I hadn't heard the age range for conscription, so that's good to know. Thanks!

And, Maarten, your role/function on the Forum saved the day on this! Thank you! I'm glad that you can see what the rest of us can't. He must be coming just to read. I was trying to get back to his profile, so I could search for any or at least his most recent postings, but the search field just wasn't producing anything. I was probably doing it wrong. I thought we were able to search by just Forum name, but I can't find where that's so. It could just be me. But THANK YOU. That is a HUGE relief. He's probably being very careful... understandably.

Our perspective on this is different, Wendy. You made two wrong assumptions from the onset. " . . . if you're that concerned"? I am that concerned. I came here and did as you suggest, prior to my posting in this section. Inquiring about another Forum member and someone I've met, during these times, in this section, is not inappropriate in my view.

I can understand his not responding to an email. Too much is unpredictable, given the shutting down of media sources, as well as the seizing of cellphones to check for content. My friend in St. Petersburg [she has met Goldin, as well, just prior to the Hydra gathering where I finally met him] created a fully encrypted email, via a third country, for me; as well as a Russian one; so that we can ensure, as much as possible, that we can remain in contact, regardless of how things progress [regress] there.

I heard on NPR yesterday that Putin is now conscripting men up to age 60, which worries me; but, hopefully, there are exclusions for professionals. I'll just continue to pray for Goldin's safety and welfare.

A difference in definitions.

If another country invades mine unprovoked, with tanks, bombing, shelling, fire and burning, rape, torture, starvation, destruction of infrastructure, abduction of children and adults, separation of family members, targeted killing of civilians; committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide; threatening nuclear weapons, already possible use of chemical ones; with the real possibility of invasion of more countries; I won't be calling it Politics; I'll be calling it War.

Labor vs. Tories; Democrats vs. Republicans; Liberals vs. Conservatives; etc.; with campaigns, platforms, speeches, positions, debates, character assaults, elections, even assassinations; voting, vote counting, and vote counting disputes, etc.; these I call Politics. Even the situation surrounding Alexei Navalny started out as Politics.

I came here to inquire as to anyone's possible awareness of the whereabouts and welfare of a valued Forum member. To the best of anyone's ability, that has been addressed. This I'm calling Love.
