Lizzie - Happy Birthday to your mum. Treasure her and give her a kiss from me as my mum is no longer around.

Oh, thank you, Paula. I will ~ if only by phone. She lives approximately 1,000 miles away. However, I called her this morning and sang "Happy Birthday" to her.....and will call her tonite to see how her day went. She doesn't have or access a computer, so she won't read this message. I just wanted to send it out to her, anyway. She'll love that you wished her the same :D . Thanks 8) :D . I'm sorry that you can no longer do the same with your Mum.

Love,
Lizzie

Dear Lizzy

Congratulations to your Mum.

What a coincidence, it's my father's birthday (63) today as well...

Hope he will recover from that little accident here in Alicante last saturday (he fell down and has a black eye now - I blame it on the heavy Spanish wine  .

Oh, dear :D .....Happy Birthday :D to your father 8) , too, Simon :D .

The only gift I have to offer him is a virtual ice pack :( and a rose :D . No wine with mine.....though she may have doubled up on her coffee :) .

1,000 miles away where does she live. Did you move or did she? I am not surprised she doesn't have a computer I would be stunned if she were computer literate when you think 91 years ago some places didn't have electricity. Different gentler era.

I moved ~ relatively long ago. She lives in Michigan, and I in north-central Florida. She volunteers in the office at her church, and they keep trying to get her to learn, at least the e-mail, just for the sake of doing it, not with any tasks in mind. However, since she refuses to get an answering machine ["If they really want to talk to me, they'll call back."] and will rarely leave a message, either, it's not lookin' too good for the computer.

 That's true on the electricity ~ I'd forgotten about that. Yep ~ different era, for sure.

Love,
Lizzie

bee ~ This one is in my limit in computer affairs  . First I look for an image, sometime giving a clue to Google, there are places with collections of funny things or emoticons, they are small files .gif (animation) or .jpg Then "upload" to a hosting, with a software that is called FTP. There are free hostings. Now we have a image with a path for example http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web ... tycats.gif When I edit in the forum with phpBB I mark it and click "img" at the time the address appears between [img ... and .../img]

I wonder if all that can be easier :?:

Nothing is eternal... in the earth, you know. When this free hosting does not work any more, or erase it, all the images go away to the heaven.

But do not worry, you dominate English, you can express here rapidly, safely and you don't need pictures. Look to me
