Leopard reveals Tacoma Trailer lyrics

Post by Sideways »

In the very strictest confidence, Leonard revealed exclusively to me, the full lyrics of Tacoma Trailer. It was on a drunken night in his mid 80s, so it may have been the heat that did it, anyway as far as I recall here is our private conversation followed by the verbatim lyrics which I immediately engraved on my heart and a passing 12 inch latex dildo.

Leonard "hell, Sue. This is my chance to make it big. I can smash that pretentious Dylan into the dirt with this one. This is my greatest ever song".

Sue " you are drunk".

Leonard " I may be drunk but just remember that in the morning I will still be drunk".

Tacoma take me homa
Yeah yeah smash the pigs
Undermine CAPATALISM
Share your jism

Tacoma take me homa
To the Land of the Twee
I'm from Canada
North of Tacoma

Hang your Washington on the line
When it's dry, I will cry
Yeah yeah Tacoma
Take me Homa

This is the song
Not very long
It's just a trailer
Tacoma Trailer

Yeah yeah yeah
Spread your jism
I should be in prison
Tacoma Trailer

Oh how life would have been different for Leopard had this been released at the time. A work of genius yet still unrecorded. What more is there to say?

Sue

ahhh, I see your influence here Sue.

I had never realized that this was a Christmas song - thank you for sharing that Sue.
I wonder if it was never released, with the lyrics, out of concern for the 80's censors who would have frowned on the 'undermine CAPATislism' bit. I also find that the song makes me want to shop, I just remembered that I need to pick up some sanitizer wipes and kitchen disinfectant.

I shared this private information knowing I could rely on the discreetiosity of all the members here. I say all the members and yet, I must tell you that if there was a single person here, whose ability to handle a discreet member, I doubted, it was you. Well I don't know the German for schadenfreude but this is what I now feel. Do you feel a distinct member? Well Leopard is going to be furious now you have revealed his secret lyrics to the public. I refuse to discuss their meaning with you after your Act of Betrayal of Cohen and, rather more importantly, of me. Let us never again refer to The Schism of The Jism, as this tragic episode henceforth known shall inevitably ever be.

I once had a lawyer friend and he would have decried your "point" here by calling it "a technicality". Shame on you.

Well, perhaps people have heeded your own words, from the initial post:

Generally, such a question is merely rhetorical, not inviting an answer, but rather, inviting others to ponder the profundity of the question itself, and/or the "Revelation" made just prior to the asking of the question.

Or, maybe they have all been too busy singing Tacoma Trailer, now that "Leopard" has revealed its lyrics at long last. Imagine having released for those people the frustration they felt all those years while yearning to be able to sing along to every word of every album. They no longer have to be flummoxed by the lyrical absence in that particular track, as they have been freed from the verbal paralysis that undoubtedly gripped them as they sought words that they hitherto thought did not exist.

You have provided a great service to all who follow the proceedings on this forum. At last count, that would be approximately 7 people. I would say that you deserve a humanitarian award for this endeavour!

I will only accept such an award if it is covered in mayonnaise.

A mayon has to chew what a mayon has to Sue.

There is an active volcano in the Philippines called "Mayon". It spews a lot of gasses, hot air, and lava, which is a thick substance that oozes out all over the place. Mount Mayon is also a "perfect cone" for its symmetric conical shape. I have heard people pronounce Leonard's last name as "Cohn", with a single syllable (and, of course, many people think that he is perfect). There are far too many coincidences here.

This is quite hard to believe. Leonard didn't get drunk in the 80s.

Dear Hardnut, what a typical man you are. Men are so often in a rush. I have found this to my frustration and dissatisfaction. You have blatantly misquoted because you read in a rush. I wrote that Leopard was drunk in his mid 80's. What possible logical fault could you find in that statement. Men, Pah!

This is a well crafted post and supplies all the logic missing in the masculine mistake from Hardnut. Who would have ever thought that a person who has gang tattoos on her leg would also have art in her soul.

Let me share this true story with just you, Frisco Kid.

A few years ago, I was feeling a little unwell due to overwork. I had been churning out at least one Old Master a day for a national painting 5-a-side tournament. Because of this excess brush work I was no longer able to squeeze the mayonnaise bottle to complete my regular Top Salad. Also the bottle was made of glass.

This posed a culinary dilemma until one day, by impure chance, I met a geezer - new in town- who said his family had just upgraded to the area and were haute cuisine chefs. In particular, his elder male sibling, was allegedly a truly fine Salad Composer. This man was so nice, so helpful, so talented, so generally wonderful that I had complete confidence that his bro' would be a similar Wonder of Nature and be able to create a Top Salad for me whilst I remained in rehab.

The night of my feast arrived. I worse a casual Formal Dinner Jacket and Top Hat to the restaurant. Some pedants made critical remarks about my lack of trousers but that evening was about the Top Salad not mean fashion quibbles.

The meal was served. There was inadequate mayonnaise, there were gratuitous greens added to the dish. It was a disaster.

Well, you know what they say about judging a cook by his brother.

Thanks, Sidewalk, stories like that always bring tears to my eyes. Or maybe that is from the onions I was chopping for my own top salad. They go well with mayonnaise, I've been told. Trousers are optional.
