This was fun to read since I grew up watching Molly Ringwald and have followed her musical career with interest.
I sat next to Leonard Cohen on a plane and was too shy to say anything to him. We were sitting next to each other in business class or whatever — oh, I like Crash Vegas, too, I haven’t heard them in a long time, but I used to really like them — anyways, and I was just getting ready to say something to him, just right on the verge and then the flight attendant swooped down and knelt at his legs and wouldn’t get up the rest of the time! Just as we were landing, I thought, "No, I can’t do it to him. I can’t. He just wants to chill out with his newspaper." So I never talked to him.
