Yes, I've already used this for a shameless self-promotion.

Fake autographs and contacts will follow. I plan to oblige Leonard Cohen to perform in Kremlin regulary, like many stars do in Las Vegas.

Except that no one, not even a maniac like Leonard Cohen can write letters that look perfectly alike - each time.

The thing that would do would be to scan a real signature. That would spare the man in is old age to cope with this tedious side of celebrity.

Not sure how that would work when people approach him in person and ask for an autograph. I would love it if there were a way to pass off scanned signatures on some of those vultures who hound famous people for autographs which they then sell. (Vultures hounding?? Mixed-metaphor alert!)

My pal* "Weird Al" Yankovic once autographed something "To the lucky eBay buyer"

*well, if you define "pal" as "someone who remembers your name"

Well, something about it looks fake, anyway. Perhaps, it's the subtle, yet over-riding effect of 'perfection' that Tchoc has noted.

I'll bet you were taken aback, too, Helen :)

Subtle? Really? Something so evident?

If it was perfect it would not look perfect. Cherchez l'erreur...

No fault. Vultures don't hound.

What is the purpose of buying an autograph, anyway ? No customers, no providers. It takes two to tango. What is the difference between an autograph purchased on E-B. and a scan of the signature?

So many questions, so little answers. :D

Your definition of "pal" is much more enviable than the one I gave in the Everything Else section, under the subject "How".
