The Chinese tradition is to never disclose your sign because it tells too much about who you are. Only family, very close people, know your sign of birth, this is intimate matter. To the world, Chinese tradition said that you must present your rising sign, as it is in reality, anyway, the person that you are who behaves in the world.

I'm a Pisces astrologically, but my birth year [some time back] put me as a rooster.
And how do you determine your Rising sign? According to your astrological rising sign?

I read enough of you Liz to think that being born under the sign of the Rooster fits you very well in general, though your Piesces side mellows the cocoricos compared to let say a Scorpio or a Lion. But human beings are so much more than a print due to the pression of celestial energies on their plastic and they are changing all the time under so many influences, until they die. I do think that people know themselves better than I do.

This said, do you read the links that John Etherington (Thanks John Etherington for the links!) provides so generously?

Lightasabreeze, the Chinese year does not began and end like the occidental year, so if you are born in January or February you may not be a Dog. You have to check what was the Chinese Year when you are born. You can check also on the link behind, by entering your exact Birth date.
