programmatic experience

he is forgotten like the lines
he once compiled to poetry
that didn't sell

today his lines compile and run
on oracle machines
and earn a living

busy with a job
he cannot get
to work

Nice one Tom - you're very convincing.

Thank you friends!

And it almost felt like almost coming home.

I just wanted to post this small poem, though I deem it "one of my less important ones", but you know how things tend to go: I spent much more in other sections...

Still I hope to succeed in writing a real poem soon. (Vanity of Vanities... )

Thanks again - for past, present, and future...

Tom

PS: I even started working on that villanelle again...
