limerick for a fish

Post by Cate »

there once was a fishie named Trish
who swam with a cute little swish
her Mother did warn her
but she fell for a troller
who fried her in a sweet butter dish

(my beats a little off but oh well - please feel free to add your own)

There once was a quail-eyed fish
who asked for just one little wish
"if it isn't too late
can I gobble up Cate
before I move on to Trish?"

i had cod 'n' chips at dinner-time. sat on a bench watching boats go by as i dipped the chips in some ketchup. three kinds of birds sat on the bench with me; a huge brazen white gull, a middle-sized black crow and a timid little grey sparrow. then a lot of germans passed behind me. they were on a guided tour of the town, came from a ship that had parked down at the quay. it was a bit chilly sitting there. the sun was just peeping over the mountains, but provided no warmth. you don't say what sort of fish Trish was, or how you discovered its name. how do you know the mother warned her, and how do you know they weren't both males. if you study a male fish you still will not see its organ, so how do you know for sure?

well G I don’t know for sure, but most fish look like she’s to me except for the ugly ones.

What type of fried fish did you have? Do they give you coleslaw with your fish in Norway?

I had some fine fish
but it was Cate and not Trish
who sat near my dish

let me deal with this very bad poem. it says writer attacked me. it ignores Trish and says Cate was in his dish. this is a sad tragic poem and I hope no-one shouts hooray many times. I say boo instead (a few times).
