tribute to LEONARD COHEN in Montreal

In a quiet restaurant on 1348 Fleury Est, on December 3rd Angélique Duruisseau presents her last fall concert LEONARD COHEN AND CANCIONES. Accompagnied on guitar and piano by Sarah, their voices interweave to bring out Cohen's poetry. They have completely absorbed Cohen's texts and inhabit them with their own sensitivities. In about 2 hour show you will hear famous and less known songs, and a couple of colourful musics from Mexican culture sung by Lhasa de Sela, Chavela Vargas and Violeta Parra. Angélique Duruisseau has won the price of interpretation at the prestigious Place des Arts competition in 2002 and 2003, as well as in the festival de Lanaudière.
