You see through where I am
And discuss me in unhushed tones
while I listen in awe at the strength of your feelings
and discover your inner most thoughts
At least your public ones

Our sharing of time, joys and sorrows
brought out for the heart to review
mean nothing to dust and to ashes
The state I have lately become
To wait and suffer your absence
in days and the nights when alone

I’m here I hold you with blessings
Don’t fear for whatever comes
My silent words surround you
with shadows of my love
I fear for when I leave here
to lose all that we nurtured and grew
Can you follow the paths I am taking
I must go
