This evening in this place.
Thank you so much for your entertainment this evening.

hmm. i have wondered once or twice if the Man wanders through here every now and again.
i guess since this is the identity-less internet we have no way of knowing if this is actually you, or just someone behind an alias. that seems appropriate somehow. sometimes i've wondered what alias "you" might take if you came through here. i guess it is just as well that we will never know you for sure, stranger : you are either a complete stranger or touchingly, intimately known to each of us here.
i will take the chance. Dawg. Dear Friend. there is just so much to say. thank-you for being so cool for as long as you have, for giving young punks like me some beautiful words to memorize. thank-you for taking the edge off, thanks for describing the edge. thanks for Beautiful Losers. thanks for It All : )

Charles ~ You are kidding, right?
Those with genuine respect for the Man, are in the minority... yes, sometimes even here.
However, there would be a considerable number in real life with the same name. I doubt the 'great one' has a copyright on it.
But I am puzzled why Critic2 hasn't taken this person to task for capitalizing certain words in their belief they are "saying something important", interesting partiality... how curious ...

Lizzy, I have found it serves one well to be wary of assumptions and wishful-thinking.
Remember 'Occam's Razor', or, aphorisms like, 'If there is any doubt, there is no doubt'.
Also, a saying in my family, 'Never believe anything you hear, and only half what you see'.
Then, one could ask oneself if it is consistent with the behaviour of the man who has always addressed messages to this forum through Jarkko, without mystery or ambiguity out of respect for his fans (some may not comprehend that concept, or recognize its considerate 'signature' ).
Compared with the recent 'coinky dinks' of certain characters' behaviours on this forum... which is the more likely?

Makera! Welcome back from sulking and hiding during the poetry exercise.
You ask this typcally Makera question, (and why not, this is you, you are who you are and damned if I am going to help you change without a written apology in writing) (and it had better be with a decent ink, I'm not having you sneak in and erase it)
"But I am puzzled why Critic2 hasn't taken this person to task for capitalizing certain words in their belief they are "saying something important", interesting partiality... how curious ..."
because "this person" has not, so far at least, acted like a pompous prig, (or pomponious priggus as you would say as you patronise the Forum (as did Julius Ceasar when he wanted Hot Dogs for dinner - "et 2 Brute") with your silly showboating of your enormous Latin learning)
because this person hasn't declined to enter a little competition which has created such fun, because of some absurdly pompous nonsense about the visiting rights of her muse, (obviously exhausted still from inspiring the Rhyme of the Century "blue" and "the True")
because this person doubtless knows the approach of "show, don't tell" and is not allergic to the use of description (doesn't everyone?)
because this person doesn't use brackets all the time (unlike some irritating people)
my partiality is not interesting at all, it's soundly based and obvious.

but then reverted to the usual incoherence and non sequiturs.

Oh, but I did get a chuckle out of "showboating your enormous Latin learning"; something for fun, since English is evidently difficult for you, but nothing that isn't available to anyone on line.
Still more hang-ups? "Brackets" too, eh. Having a go at Lizzy, now?!

Irony is difficult for you too, I see. Of course it's not 'interesting', but certainly "obvious". QED

apology
Dearer Makera
the brackets was a reference to my own writing habit (check it out).
Anyway, I have been considering my posts to you and about you and have decided I have been guilty of inappropriate sharpness and unnecessary harshness.
I apologise and will cut it in future.
