Discretion to Reject poems

Post by LaurieAK »

Hi All~

Lizz just passed on a poem that is nothing more than an insult directed at an individual on this board.

I am rejecting it outright. If anyone wants to insult individuals, please don't send your poems into this contest.

To the person who sent this rejected piece...you are, of course perfectly welcome to share it with this board on your own. Don't be wasting my(or Lizzy's) time with this nonsense.

regards,
Laurie

thank you Laurie. I really didn't need your protection and could have comfortably coped with the attack on me. But you must have a discretion in these matters and I trust your decision. I hope they don't try to pull this stunt again. Above all, I hope you can rise above your clear disapproval and judge objectively the other entries in this fun competition.

I think I speak for all the regulars when I say this.

Hi Laurie - for one awful moment I thought you were rejecting my poem on the grounds of it being an insult to poets everywhere

 , Paula

To all concerned ~ As the non-Judge :D here, I passed the said-poem on to Laura without comment or prejudice. As you know, the buck doesn't stop here; it, indeed, stops there [at the Judge's bench  ].

Yeah, right C2...i LIVE to protect your ass on this board...NOT!

Anyways, i have a highly developed sense of intuition...and it tells me you REALLY don't believe the poem was directed at you...although some part of the compass may involve your clever self...as you was.

Paula~Hahaha. No worries. :)

toodles,
Laurie

And, yes, of course, I concur with the outcome of Laurie's discretion ~ just so you know I don't endorse that mode of behaviour. However, I maintained my rightful, non-Judge boundaries   .

Aww, C2 i spoke too soon. You now have become the latest 'vicitim' of a sharp edged poem....don't worry, i am also rejecting it; for a judge must remain above all, consistent.

Also, a 3rd poem is being rejected because it is a blatant attempt at bribing the judge (mio). It is funny, though 8)

Remember, the authors of these poems are very welcome to share them on the board on their own.

Laurie

I repeat that I am quite content to take these persistent outrageous attacks but your rejection leaves me singing "yes, we have no critic2matoes"

There has been an appeal through Lizzy regarding the 3rd rejected poem. The one which mentions the contest judge, by name. It is definately not mean spirited. It is well written and quite funny. However, i am going to remain consistent and reject poems that deal with people on this board. Sorry to disappoint.

L
