I thought I'd post one of my own that I discovered in a little black book under the bed while I was searching for something else.
Maybe that's the thing to do
When your life's in a mess
Make a bigger one
When there's papers piled
When there's dishes piled
When there's laundry piled
Maybe that's the thing to do
Make a bigger mess.
With the cat on the microwave
Zest an orange !

Thank you Cate
It was a lovely day -windy and wild .
I read from Anair -Voices and verse from the edge of the world, a simple little poem
The Love Charm
A charm put by Mary on the butter
A charm of affection and everlasting love
May your body not rest
But long just for mine
May your love follow me
And mine follow you
As the cow follows the calf
From now til the hour I die

I like it - the poem is both sweet and slightly disturbing at the same time.

indeed CateCate wrote:I like it - the poem is both sweet and slightly disturbing at the same time.
It may have got lost in translation though
Ortha na Seirce
Ortha a chuir Muire in im
Ortha seirce agus síorghrá
Nár stada do cholainn
Ach d'aire a bheith orm
Go Leana do ghrá mo ghnaoi,
Mar leanas an bho an lao,
On lá seo go huair mo bháis
