Hey,That's No Way... Contemporary-Retro version by Nemo Shaw

Leonard Cohen's first biographer L.S. Dorman ('Leonard Cohen: Prophet of the Heart' 1990), recommended that I try this song at a slower tempo than the original. As a great admirer of the music and poetry of Leonard Cohen, it was a real pleasure to attempt this wonderful song.

This fits right into what I consider to be my genre and style: 'Contemporary-Retro'. I like to strip songs back to their bare essence by taking out all the backing music and extra sounds to just a naked clear voice and instrument, in this way I attempt to 'revibe' songs with a fresh approach.

A little more about me - my name is Nemo Shaw, and I am a 32 year old Scots-born Singer Songwriter.

I hope you enjoy my version of this song...

I like your approach Nemo, this is a very nice version. You achieved what you aimed for, a clear stripped-back version, luckily you had the talent and the quality of voice to accomplish this successfully. Well done.
