What’s the cost of freedom?

What’s the price you pay my friend?
For the right to say
That some of our leaders are full of crap
What’s the price of that?

And how much does it cost my brother?
To walk down that winding road
Without the feeling of a ton of lead
Persecution weighing upon your head

So how many dollars does it need?
For education and to feed
Our children on love and hope
Not just feed ‘em up on hate n dope

Cost of freedom don’t come cheap
You don’t get it in no sale
Men and women – children too
Thousand bloody cuts everyday for You

Millions have died since time began
Clock of death has over-ran
How many more gotta do the same
Sacrifice again in salvation’s name

And what if we don’t pay?
What’s that cost sister?

Death camps, torture, a prison cell
Society like a living hell
Corrupt n rotten from bottom to top
Worm of desperation that’ll never stop
