The Strokes

The Strokes are one of my favorite bands. Surely I'm not the only LC fan who loves them. I realize that JC's lyrics are hardly poetic, but still...good music is good music.

I'm sorry I can't comment on their music as such, but I think they must be good as my 21 year old son really enjoys them and he has a broad taste in music that also encompasses LC's work.

In fact, recently my son chose their music when he was having a general anesthetic and the 'cool' youngish anesthetist asked him what he would like to hear as he was in the process of "going under"!

They rock but are a bit samey after a while.

they're ok but they're just a retro rock band with nothing special to offer. since their induction to mtv there are now at least 6 or 7 bands that are about the same thing.
