On Death

The boundaries of Earth scale near limitless;
human eyes may visibly see the sun, and the horizon,
but there is no real end of the Earth
but in Death.
Ever is ever, not human. Regardless of every wish
cried upon by every grieving soul.
Love is peace - oh! but 'tis war as well--
Ever is love, some may say.
Eros and Thanatos in communion at last--
in peace.

To deny, to be angry, to bargain with Mother Earth,
to be depressed - all signs of acceptance.
We are but human beings; born to live,
just as human beings born to die--
Living to die - dying to live--
The life of the human being is nobly spent
searching for their meaning, fixated upon the fear--
fear of the unknown.
'Tis much more difficult to depart without closure
than to close without departing.
Turn to Love, for It will guide you
to Acceptance.

I shall gracefully graze the halls of life,
and inherit the peace of death--
as shall the ones I love.
