Tribute to M & M Twins, (style of the Bard of Bangor)

Post by Critic2 »

Two little chocolate drops
hanging round this forum
"full of fun", says everyone
don't you just adore 'em
Mareka is a VIP
a self-appointed Queen
Martine has learnt to swear today
she loves to be obscene
Looking for Mr Wright
handsome George is their hero
he can rhyme "walk" with "talk"
for sure the next Shakespearo.
M & M come play today
you really are so clever
look at you in skirts so white
and boots of Spanish leather

Critic 2 , I think it is you prancing about in a skirt and Spanish leather boots w*nking and composing silly little ditties.
You are such a bore who loves overkill to make your childish point.
Go play with the fairies.

Avalon ~

Oh, can't you see he's besotted with us? ;) Neither myself nor any others here have claimed me to be, "Queen" of anything before, except Crit2 ... and of "Importance" no less! How flattering is that!

Oh, methinks he doth protest too much...

And, if Martine is my "twin", then she has been elevated to royalty also. 8)

Plus, George is now a "Bard"!

Remember what William Blake said, "Listen to the fool's reproach, it is a kingly title!" Well, no 'reading into' anything required here...

Who has actually bestowed these titles? CriTIC2! :P

Now he's writing his poor illiterate little heart out trying to impress us.... ain't it just so, so..... ironic

"ain't it just so, so..... ironic"

the use of the stylised "ain't" is so clicheed. You are not a teenager anymore. Or are you?

I know that writing is hardly your area of expertise but take your time and make a little effort please.

So sayeth the intellectually challenged speller of "stylised" and "clicheed".

The contracted word 'ain't' is a grammatically correct contraction of 'were not', or a jocular contraction of 'am not'.

You do serve a purpose as an illustrative example of how not to spell, write or behave. I suppose everyone is good for something.

Martine, it's not his dancing i'm worried about ( see my earlier post ), it's what he is doing to himself whilst trying to make fun at us. It's a wonder he can type at all.

"The contracted word 'ain't' is a grammatically correct contraction of 'were not', or a jocular contraction of 'am not'. "

that's correct Makera. And it's also true, as George will proudly tell you, that "start" rhymes with "part" and "Zen" with "ten", but it's the particular use by you that was weedy.

Writing is not a mechanical task simply fulfilled by the use of a dictionary, a rhyming programme, or even a "spellchecker". You need to feel at ease with language.

Whilst you show no signs of any writing talent yet, Makera, it doesn't mean you should give up. You may write anything you wish for your own enjoyment or the applause of your peers. It's your time to waste as you choose.

If however you were ever serious about learning to write you would need quite a change of approach and quite a change of attitude.

Anyway, Good Luck whether you decide to learn or you spend your energy on some other activity.

but if we ever find the one fool who voted for Shakespeare, who, incidentally, has written nothing new for centuries now, we will do something very nasty to him indeed...

Yes, no doubt about it Martine, he does become quite incoherent when he gets cranky! Since my "peers" must also be "VIPs", I wonder what he thinks he is saying?

Avalon has a point too...
"It's a wonder he can type at all."

But, of course, since the circulatory system of the human male can only operate one 'site' at a time, the cause is self-explanatory.

"Yes, no doubt about it Martine, he does become quite incoherent when he gets cranky! Since my "peers" must also be "VIPs", I wonder what he thinks he is saying? "

And I was wondering about your habit of addressing your views about me to a friend, albeit a really super writer like Martine, instead of to me directly. It's as if you approach your enemy ready to attack him, then pat the nearest wall instead.

Is it because you are scared of me, maybe an inherent gutlessness, or is it just a contrived show of superiority and detachment? Whatever psychological need compels you it is only minor games-playing and my curiosity won't last long. After all, I still have the massive task of teaching you to write.
