On Friday nights, I see the plain leaf
fall to rain swollen concrete--only in the
months called "Fall" of course, I must
confess that such realities are quite rare, which is why
I put pen to paper on a Tuesday morning.

I suggest that tired mankind makes rash
decisions causing the fall of ancient Rome and
prosperity of great nations--stuck on Vietnam
War records there is nothng spoken on
citizenship and effective future planning.

Please, this is no political statement, but I
slipped into haughty self-righteousness--for
some speak of youth being a burden and
others recall these years as the best of their
life...
I don't care to know because if
ignorance is my fall, may my heart
close and wither into a maggot procession
train towards incestuous insect breeding.

Where will autumn take me? I only
see with two eyes and a third that
I must control in its nervous
energy
