I am the owner of a patch work heart,
which is constanly being torn apart,
and sewn back together again.

Liar, Liar, Liar,
why haven't you learned,
the more you play with fire,
the more you get burned.

Liar, liar, liar,
why is it so hard to see,
Even when you play with fire,
it's still your enemy.

Sister, when you heard the news you said you would hold my hand,
but you didn't stick around for too long,
I always thought that blood was thicker than water,
but you sure proved me wrong.

Some people are searching for the answers,
some people are searching for the questions,
but I am searching for the reasons,
for both the answers the questions.

I can't go on living like this,
it's like I am living but I am not alive,
Don't dare coming looking for me.
there's nothing left of our bond to revive,
and as far as the rest of the world is concerned,
I am just another runaway,
fallen through the cracks,
waiting for my day.

Hi Songbird ~

I hope you'll keep writing. I'm seeing phrases that pique my interest in things that have led you to your poetry. You're learning to turn the phrases, as searing the outside seals in the juices of the meat. I like this ~ "but I am searching for the reasons,
for both the answers [and] the questions." [the "and" is how I read it to myself.]

I'll also be returning to your site to finish looking at it .
