Walk no more in darkness love
seal the book of pain
put a flower by its side
it is not in vain
Seek the river black and cold
make a tiny boat
let the package with the past
down the river float
I've been waiting down the stream
waiting for some time
by the faith of morningsun
I endured the rime
I will open up your book
try to make it mine
seek you in the words I read
search in every line
But I conquer must the stream
naked and in fear
waves and thunder must I pass
just to come you near
Wait for me upstreams my love
wait and wear your dress
all the flowers that you are
I must seek to bless
If by night you see me then
strugling in the flood
make a cradle of your hair
save my desperate blood
Let us meet upon the bank
finally released
then maker of the word
sing so very pleased

Evocative and sensual, Peter. A beautiful description of a way of letting go of the past, making of it a ritual. Many ways have been suggested as to how to do this, but I really love your ideas on it. I also really like the idea of someone waiting, someone who could never enter until the path had been cleared of the past debris. Very well done.
