I thought that no one could replace that she
and none can,

But she, yes she, came along and yes she,
she sang more lovely that any other, bobby mcgee

And in her voice was all that was lovely about she,
and, our beloved bobby mcgee

and well, everyone including me
even those of us who didn’t know that sweet sherry

stopped and listened

It was beautiful and like a rogue wave from the sea
my heart filled with glee

So my dear sweet girl you and her and all of us three
let us find peace in the power of thee
