Titanic and the social divide

Today and not tomorrow
for then there will be great sorrow
the great leviathian lost in that way
the papers got confused in the affray
the space shuttle of the twelves
in all our hearts we had to dig and delve
and place our hands on our heart
technology that was not to start
and such a great final loss of life
and dignity and the social strife
and the band played the dirge untill the end
into the stars the song to commend
the final corpses that died refrigerated in the cold
stayed within their social fold
no common women and children to the boats
just an extra gentleman in his top hat and coat
one less body to discover a white afloat and astared
into the icy waters and the death of the scared
the social strata and the price
of being third class in the ice!!!
