Pompous, Pompous People who are really pompous

Post by Marisha »

In this place
where you can't face
the Human Race
and suggestive fruit
scares the pants off you

In this place
where a scowl doth grace
your suggested case
I shout "banana"
and scare the pants off you

In this place
I get out my gun
and say "hands up"
and you lose the race
to hold the edge of your under-things which are rather nicely embroidered with lace
ha ha!
I've scared the panties off you

Marisha,

Although I'm sure you prefer the Caribbean for holidays, now might be the perfect time to plan a trip to the US. They are having these wild and crazy Tea Parties there, and judging from your poem you would have a ball at them. Tea Partygoers dress up, and flaunt their guns (some are huge, some are even automatic), and generally LOVE scaring every sissy-pants in sight; sometimes they even bring Sarah Palin in to scare them!

PS: You don't need an invite to attend; just flash your gun or wear some red and blue...

.. hi I.F.. Marisha.. (or Geoffrey, if you prefer).. in the title of your poem, M., why did you not capitalize your last "pompous"?.. I'm just curious.. if not flat out flummoxed.. Unlike your last effort, with Arnold and his doughnut denial, you did manage to include some nice detail here.. such as the nicely embroidered lace at the edge of the panties... as you see, I imagine them pink.. (pink silk, in fact)*.. so.. you are improving in that vein, at least..

.. oh, and as regards Harry S... did he.. um.. pass???.. and if he did, what was his last name, by the way.. I've always wondered..

v i o l e t.. after sundown..

.. *oh.. this is a secret reference to his Lordship.. I just love to imagine the various undies 'n things he wears with his official barrister wigs 'n robes and whatnot.. I must admit, it makes me all tingly sometimes..

.. Sat morning edit.. yes.. I found an itsy bitsy typo..

that looks very nice in red, white and blue. :) Imaginary, I don't know if this is just a vicious rumour but I heard on another forum that they don't even serve tea at these tea parties :?

Marisha, is it signed from a Geoffrey or is it a Geoffrey who has had their panties scared off?

Good bye to Mister Harry S, may your pom poms always shake and your woods head covers always be made of silk.
