Well I didn't see the show either Mary - it was preempted because of the snow storm. Just looking at the video, there definitely no mention by Oprah of Leonard Cohen in her introduction. Maybe after they sang? Don't know.
The Canadian Tenors
do say that they will be appearing at the Olympics. Maybe the closing ceremonies? But if so, would they sing "Hallelujah?" I would think it highly unlikely after the performance at the opening ceremonies. But - also, I think there are a number of concert events considered part of the Olympics - at different venues in Vancouver (one includes a tribute concert to Neil Young). And as well, I believe after the skating competitions are over, there is always a gala performance by the skaters just for entertainment. And it has become quite the "in" thing for skaters to invite singers to perform with them live - and then they do the Alphonse-Gaston routine -

But skaters have used Leonard's song in the past - at competitions - and skating extravaganzas. And - there was Claude Lemieux who recorded Hallelujah and then skated to his recording -

But - I am rambling on here and speculating - and have forgotten why?
Except that you are correct - on the video - there is no mention of Leonard Cohen.
I'm giddy about the news today - Leonard being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
