The Event
I had a feeling
this would
happen.
Everyone told me
I needed to get better.
As I tried to focus
on things other than
the pain
I tiptoed around
my sanity
and constructed a
translucent sphere
to shelter
my longing,
and I called it Happiness;
thus setting
in motion
the gear work of
a hardening mechanism
that
ultimately
triggered
the event:

the emotional
detachment
from your memory
will commence.
When one dream
dies, another
is born.
But no one is going
