A POEM FOR LC.

Leonard Cohen,...your words they touch me, deep in my heart and soul,
did you know that they do what words should do,..search.. and find their goal.
I feel your words as they take me there,..to delightful places so pure,
but my mind fights to sort them



a need to have thought them,



and carefully place them in store,
words.. enigmatic, about your God and mine,..silver songs threaded with love,
Ah.. so much deeper than a thousand fathom,..soar higher than a snow clad dove.
Please tell me dear sir
what makes you still stir?
from your beautiful head to your toes,
is it words,.. feelings,.. a beautiful face
or sorrows, joys, or woes?
Your songs dance a rhythm all of their own,
a poem can be a lament.
I ask you, pray tell me....in this colourful life
what is it, for you..that makes sense?
is it a random, a hit or a miss?
or the sweet sweet taste of a hungry kiss?
What lifts you,..your being?
is it faith all unseeing?
i'd form a queue...to know the essence of you.!
Me!... i'm a stutter, when my wings need to flutter,
my soul needs to flow. so my heart can let go.....
LC....your words... go into my heart
and open me... tho' i am small.
words unfamiliar... yet deep down.. known
and i hear for the strangers call.
and God, yes God...as only He can,....will be my saving grace,
and my broken soul, will be restored......
as i finally find my place.
