Post by greta »

between the twighligt
and the morning
there is
another dialoge
with the moon
seven bows
to the stars
a poem now and then
music and some wine

i lay down by the fire
i bathe in the sea
i go dancing with the Night
and i fall like an autumn leaf

Morning.I rise with the Sun
Its cold and silent
The sea is dead
and the birds have left

i'm sleeping awake
so long i have to wait
to live again in joy
underneath
the stars and the sky.

Time goes by
The summer comes again.
Again i grow and i blossom
i dance and i die.

(i'm not very fond of punctuation. Sorry :D)

This poem has tremendous appeal for me, Greta :) . Very gentle. I love the things you do in the night, and many of your images, including [but not limited to  ] "seven bows to the stars" and "i dance and i die."

The darkest hour, they say, is just before the morning creeps up.

Well they must be wrong. On one of his best albums Bob Dylan sang:
They say the darkest hour is right before the dawn
They say the darkest hour is right before the dawn
But you wouldn't know it by me
Every day's been darkness since you been gone.
Well... Absence, they say, makes the heart grow fonder. But that's another trite non-truth. It just makes the days more dreary. ("Takes the dark out of the night time"..."paints the daytime black" B.D.)

I like your words, Greta. And "I've been where you're hanging" (LC)...

I like the poem, Greta. I liked the lines seven bows to the stars, which i presume are the plaedies or seven sisters. Keep on writing.....
