Of dreams and Greek mythology (?)

Post by Andrew (Darby) »

My partner, who is not really much of an LC fan, informed me today that she had a dream last night, in which we were at a gathering, that included LC, in a house on a Greek island (but not Hydra, because it had taxis on it). So far, so good… 8)

However, in the course of proceedings, Leonard surreptitiously propositioned her, suggesting an arrangement to meet him alone at another house on the island. She embarrassedly responded, “I couldn’t do that: what about Andrew?” To this Leonard replied, “Don’t worry about Andrew: he’d be cool about it!”

So this just goes to show that:

1. Leonard is perhaps subliminally attractive to even those who do not adore him; 8)
2. Leonard’s “reputation” (however unfair) is hard to negate; :?
3. Leonard knows me sufficiently well to be a judge of my character/behaviour; 8)
4. Leonard not only knows that I have read his poem reproduced below, but that ideally I would like to approve of its sentiments; 8)
5. I have a poor memory when it comes to the important things in life (like having met and been acquainted with LC - and even travelled to exotic places to mingle with music celebrities); :( and
6. My generosity and good will knows no bounds (as Leonard quite rightly identified …well, perhaps…hmm)! :?

To the men and women
Who own men and women
those of us meant to be lovers
we will not pardon you
for wasting our bodies and time

Good Morning, Andrew! The harsh realities of waking up  . The poem most certainly fits the dream.....had your partner been browsing "The Energy of Slaves"?

Elizabeth

No, as far as I know she has not read/browsed any of it (but I'll check) - I just recalled that poem sometime after she told me about her dream and thought there was some consistency in it all!

Cheers :)
